Gaon Radio is a farmer-to-customer (F2C) initiative by the Yatharthvadi Foundation. We connect rural farmers, artisans, and women self-help groups directly with customers across India — no middlemen, no long-term storage, no compromise on freshness.
Our model is simple:
- Vendors (farmers and artisans) list seasonal, handmade, naturally grown products
- Orders are packed only after they are placed and paid for
- Items ship via India Post directly from the village
- Vendors receive a fair commission, paid out promptly
Why we exist
Indian villages produce some of the world's most distinctive food and craft — but most of that value never reaches the people who make it. Multi-hop supply chains erode margins, and price-driven retail forces shortcuts that are bad for both farmer and consumer. Gaon Radio is an experiment in collapsing that chain to one hop: village to home.
